Tomato Tim's taste of Paradise 5 seeds TessGruun
Wild Boar Farms has just launched Tim's Taste of Paradise. These tiny cherry tomatoes not only have exceptional flavor, but also an amazing history. Developed in the late 1990s by plant breeder Tim Peters and released as the experimental variety "Fruity Mix," this variety was almost completely gone when Tim closed his company in the early 2000s. This would have been a huge loss - its unique flavor, sweet and intensely fruity, has the elusive umami taste described by top chefs. People who have tasted it prefer it to Sungold, and it is much more resistant to cracking. It is the result of crossing dozens of wild varieties with common tomatoes.
Fortunately, in 2018, tomato enthusiast Tien Chiu rediscovered a 17-year-old seed packet kept by botanists Rob Ferber and Linda Maepa of Little Grove Farms and managed to grow just three plants from the old seeds. Wild Boar Farms further developed, stabilized and refined the variety and is releasing it under the name Tim's Taste of Paradise.

This is the perfect tomato for home growers, with excellent vigor and great productivity. The only downside is that you can't resist them, so few tomatoes will make it into the house!
