Beetroot 'Chioggia' BIO De Bolster (1065)
Beetroot 'Chioggia' is an old variety originating from the Italian town of Chioggia. The flesh of the Chioggia has beautiful red-white rings and a soft sweet taste. This variety gives a good yield and nice big croots.
If cultivated in a greenhouse you can sow beetroot very well in February and March.
Sow: from April to July. For storage the second half of May is the best sowing period. Sow at 30 cm between rows, thin out later at 7 to 10 cm, do not transplant.
