Turnip 'Platte Witte Mei' BIO De Bolster (1700)
Turnip 'Platte witte mei' is a flat round tuber with white flesh. Fast growing tuber for spring and autumn. Used to be an important food crop. The leaves can also be eaten as turnip stems.
Fertilisation is not necessary. Sow in March/April at a row distance of 30 cm and thin out at 10 to 15 cm. The harvest is in May-June. Turnips also do well in autumn; sow in mid-August. The tubers can be ensiled at the end of October and stored until winter. 1 bag for approx. 15 m².
