Watermelon 'Sugar baby' BIO De Bolster (2027)

Watermelon 'Sugar Baby' forms delicious fruits of about 1.8 kg. It is best grown flat in a greenhouse or flat tray. Insects take care of pollination, make sure they can reach the flowers. Avoid a place that is too wet and excessive fertilisation.

For both greenhouse and outdoor cultivation you can pre-sow from mid April until the end of May indoors in a tray or pot. Do not make the soil too wet. After that the seedlings can be planted out from mid May until mid June. Make sure there is enough planting distance.

Harvesting: The fruits can already be ripe after 35 days after fruiting. A dried stem is a sign of ripeness. The melons remain on the plant for a long time, so pick them shortly before consumption.
