Lamb's lettuce 'Vit' BIO De Bolster (1880)

Lamb's lettuce 'Vit' is for late autumn and winter. The plants are not very vulnerable and can tolerate a lot of frost. A variety with dark and short leaves in rosette form.

Lamb's lettuce makes few demands on the soil. Because the sowing period (August/September) is favourable, one can make good use of the released pieces of soil with lamb's lettuce. Sowing in October is too late, unless you have a glasshouse/slim box. A narrow row distance of 10 cm is possible, but a longer distance is more pleasant when hoeing. Healthy raw vegetables for autumn and winter. The seeds are considerably smaller and the growth is slower compared to the Great North Holland.

TIP: also suitable as babyleaf (sowing period: July-September)!
