Variety resulting from research conducted at the University of Oregon (USA) by Prof. Myers and his team of students. Research started in 1960 on the crossing of wild tomatoes from Chile and Galapagos with a classic variety. Their goal: to obtain a tomato variety containing anthocians (powerful antioxidant potentially interesting for human health). The different successive steps and selection will be called OSU (OSU N°10, OSU P20, OSU 28 ...). INDIGO ROSE is the "successful" and stabilized variety of Prof. Myers' research. Round fruit, cocktail type, which changes from green to dark purple, almost black eggplant and then brown red when ripe. Juicy red flesh. When fully ripe, flavor with superb balance.
Compact plant with indeterminate growth. Good resistance to mildew.
