Andine Noire is a tomato variety with egg-shaped fruits that average 50 to 100g. They ripen to a dark red-brown to slightly black colour over a period of about 70 to 80 days. This species is quite resistant to diseases.
The tomatoes have an excellent taste and a good shelf life. They are used in salads and cold dishes as well as for sauces and hot dishes.
