Leek Titus TessGruun
Titus is a heirloom from Eastern Europe , a real winter variety, suitable for harvesting until spring thanks to its high resistance to cold (down to -15°C). It has a beautiful dark green color and produces huge stems despite being short and very stocky (20 to 25 cm white). Titus is a very winter-hardy late variety of leek that can remain in the field until deep into the spring without any problems.
Best sown in a greenhouse or outside in a seedbed until the end of May. Sow thinly and once the plants are at pencil width transplant into an 18 cm deep planting hole. Lower the plant with its roots to the bottom of the hole and water slightly. The planting hole fills itself up as the plant starts to grow.
