Leek 'Herfstreuzen 2' BIO De Bolster (1695)

Leek 'Herfstreuzen 2' is a robust breed with a thick shaft. Very productive and excellent variety for autumn cultivation. Requires a nourishing and deeply loosened soil.

Because of the slow initial development it is wise to pre-sow leeks (both summer and autumn leeks) thinly from the end of March until mid May and only plant out in April at 40x15cm. If necessary put them together in winter and cover in case of severe frost. Harvest between mid August and mid November. If necessary put together in winter and cover in case of severe frost.
