The Habanero Mustard is an extremely hot variety originating in the Caribbean producing high yields of 1 ½" long by 1 ½" wide wrinkled lantern shaped hot peppers that turn from light green with tint of purple, to a mustard color orange, then to an orange color when mature. Plants are bushy and reach 30In tall. Habanero Mustard is best grown under glass, as fruits need a hot summer to ripen fully and achieve their legendary pungency. These can be slow and difficult germinate if conditions are not ideal, but well worth the effort. Habanero Mustard is excellent for making hot sauce. Matures 100+ days from germination Days to Germination: 10-21 Optimum Soil Temp. for Germination: 70F+ Days To Harvest: 100 Planting Depth: 1/4in Spacing, Plant: 24 inches Light: Greenhouse / Conservatory Sow seeds 1/4" deep in 3inch pots with quality seed compost. Keep moist. Seedlings emerge in 10-21 days at 65-70degrees F. Transplant to individual containers when seedlings have at least two pairs of leaves. When 4-5 inches plant 15-20" apart in greenhouse / conservatory with root ball 1/2" below the soil surface. Keep moist and feed when flowering with tomato type fertiliser. Harvest when fruits have reached full-size and full colour.
