After the white flowers have bloomed, the peppers appear. They are quite small (2 to 3 centimetres) and stand above the leaves, upright on the plants. They start off light lilac-purple with white and then ripen through white, yellow and orange to red, a cheerful sight when all these colours can be seen at once. The little peppers are medium hot.
