The Aji Ahuachapau aka Ahuachapan or CAP 220  chili originates from El Salvador and comes from the Capsicum baccatum species. 65-90 days  Scoville 5,000 - 30,000 SHU Typical for this type is the large, powerful and protruding growth with a high yield. As the plants are very robust, this variety is also suitable for chili newcomers. The fruits are long, approx. 3 x 12 cm, and ripen to an intense orange-red. They have a fruity flavour and a medium level of spiciness, and are particularly suitable for fruity, spicy sauces e.g. with fish, vegetables or chicken. The chillies are also good dried or pickled.
