Resistente Midi San Marzano-tomaat 'Phiavita F1' (BOL-T-5505) Solanum lycopersicum BIO De Bolster (1962)
Midi San Marzano tomato ‘Phiavita F1’ (BOL-T-5505) has unique intermediate resistance to Phytophthora, a fungal disease that can cause significant problems in the cold cultivation of organic tomatoes.
The medium-height plants have strong leaves. 'Phiavita F1' is suitable for outdoor cultivation or cold greenhouses and produces a few trusses, each with approximately 12 tomatoes weighing around 30-40 grams with firm flesh. These midi San Marzano tomatoes, with their characteristic long, slightly dented shape, can be harvested individually with or without the crown, or as a truss.
Intermediate resistance means that a variety is much more resistant to a particular disease, but can still be affected by it. Trials have shown that ‘Phiavita F1’ performs excellently against Phytophthora.
