Pineapple is a tomato variety that originated in the United States. The very large, round, flattened, ribbed fruits vary on average in weight from 300g to 900g. They ripen to a beautiful yellow-orange-red colour over a period of 75 to 95 days.
The tomatoes are praised by many for their beautiful colours, also in the flesh inside. In addition, they also have a delicious fruity, sweet taste with a light touch of citrus fruit. They are mainly used in salads and cold dishes.
