This variety originates from the Provence region in France. The Marseillais obtains rectangular, deformed fruits with fine flesh that grow about 6 to 8 cm long. They ripen from green to orange-yellow over a period of 70 days.
The plant grows to a height of about 70 cm and gets white flowers.
The fruit has a mild taste and can be used in sauces and salads, but also for frying.
