Endive Number five 2 BIO De Bolster (1010)
Endive 'Number Five2' is by far the most commonly cultivated type. Broad-leaved with a well-filled heart and a mild flavour. Excellent for stewing and stewing.
You should take into account that sowing out in spring can produce early shoots. Most endives are sown in the open ground in the period mid June to mid July. In this way you can enjoy this crop until late autumn. From March this variety can be sown in a greenhouse. The planting distance should be about 30x35 cm; narrower plants do not give a higher yield and the risk of blemishes is higher. Pre-sowing is possible.
TIP: also suitable as a babyleaf (sowing period: May-aug)!
