Leaf mustard Purple Frills BIO De Bolster (1035)
Leaf mustard 'Purple Frills' has finely incised leaves with a nice deep purple colour and a spicy flavour. Can be eaten in both young and adult stages.
In the Himalayan region of India leaf mustard has been grown and eaten for over 5000 years. Also in many other countries leaf mustard is part of the daily grind and can be prepared just like spinach and other leafy vegetables.
Is well hardy. Sowing in summer makes it possible to eat leaf mustard in autumn and winter. Sown in the early summer the plants shoot easily, but then give beautiful, edible yellow flowers.
TIP: also suitable as a babyleaf (sowing period: May-August)!
