Also known as Pistou in the south of France Ocimum basilicum crispum 'lettuce leaf' - An ancient aromatic, condiment and medicinal variety.  Compact plants from 30 to 50 cm. Giant leaves are soft green, oval, 5 to 10 cm wide, blistered and wavy. Small white flowers - very fragrant, pleasant, particularly intense flavor. Very productive. Sow from March to July - Harvest three months after sowing. Sedative, antispasmodic, antibacterial plant. Use in cooking, salads and infusions.
