Thyme - BIO De Bolster (3270)

Thyme 'German Winter' is a perennial kitchen and whole herb. The leaves and stem tops are used both fresh and dried. After flowering it is advisable to cut the plants off, so that they form young shoots again and get through the winter better. Thyme is characterised by purplish tubular flowers and each flower has four petals and a calyx. Thyme is frequently used in pasta dishes.

Height 20 cm. Sow in March or April in a greenhouse and plant out in May. Sow outdoors in June-July. Use a planting distance of 30x15 cm as standard. Blooms in the second year in early summer. Harvest the stem buds with leaves, also dry well.
