Winter rye BIO De Bolster (4090)

Winter rye is a very suitable green manure that can be sown late (August to October). This green manure is not sensitive to frost, gives a fast and good ground cover and very good rooting. It keeps the soil covered during the winter, is effective against erosion and effective in capturing dusty soil. After the winter the crop is 20 to 40 cm. high and can be mowed. The crop remains should be worked under (by milling and/or ploughing) to prevent regrowth.

Little susceptible to disease and pests. Suitable for all types of soil, but has difficulty with wet and slug sensitive parcels. Sowing depth 2-3 cm. Seed density 100 kg/ha.
