Chinese cabbage 'Grenade' produces large, long, green heads. Chinese cabbage can tolerate little frost and is sensitive to shooting. Sowing thinly on the spot is the best method.
Chinese cabbage requires a nourishing, moist soil that is not too acidic. Sow in the months of June and July is the best method. Keep a row distance of 40 cm and thin out at 30 cm in the row. Earlier sowing gives a higher risk of bolters. Harvest in October, November.
