Blue lupine BIO De Bolster (4010)
Blue lupine is a fast-growing annual butterfly, mainly used as a green manure and soil improver. Bitter dust-free, therefore suitable for consumption and also suitable as animal feed. Height approx. 80 cm. Freezes to death in winter. Seed density 200 kg/ha. 1 sachet is enough for about 10 m².
Green manure has a number of essential functions:
- Preventing loss of minerals through leaching (as a catch crop).
- To maintain the organic matter content, resp. promote soil life and structure.
- Adding extra nitrogen to the soil. This only applies to butterfly-flowering crops. Here, too, care should be taken to avoid the formation of weeds.
