Leaf mustard 'Red Giant' (Brassica juncea) is a leaf vegetable from the mustard family. It forms a loose head with red-green, slightly puckered, round leaves. Has a spicy taste. Grows fast. Also known as mustard lettuce, mustard cabbage or more general leaf cabbage.

Prone to tuber foot, so rotation is important. Can tolerate frost well. Do not sow too thickly. Plant out on 25x25 cm. Is a fast growing variety (can be harvested 5 weeks after sowing). When picking or cutting (not too deep) can be harvested several times.

TIP: also suitable as a babyleaf (sowing period: May-August)!
