'Black Seeded Simpson' BIO De Bolster (1830)

Pluck lettuce 'Black Seeded Simpson' is a fast growing lettuce. It has the shape of a cone and after cutting/picking new leaves develop from the heart of the plant.

Sowing widely or planting (30x30 cm) is fine; in this case the leaves are somewhat larger and firmer than when sowing closer. Regular picking is important for the tenderness of the leaves. Eventually the plants start to shoot and it is time for a new seed.

TIP: also suitable as a babyleaf (sowing period: May-August)!
