Mesclun Asian BIO De Bolster (1825)

Mesclun 'Asian' is a delicious mixture of, among others, the following species: Paksoi 'Taisai', Tatsoi, Turnip-rod 'Mizuna', Chard 'Darkgr. Smooth Whiteribbige 3', Chinese cabbage 'Grenade' and the leaf mustard varieties 'Golden Frills', 'Purple Frills' and 'Red Giant'. This mixture has a nice spicy flavour and should be harvested young.

The exact composition and proportions of Mesclun 'Asian' may vary depending on the availability of the seeds; the mixture will always contain a minimum of 6 varieties.

Sowing: Keep 15 cm between rows. Sow at 1 cm in the row and thin out later at 2-3 cm. You also get a nice dense crop that is easy to cut into bundles by mixing the seeds with some sand or sugar to sow in a row. There is no need to thin out.

Harvest: after about 3 to 4 weeks (when the plants are about 10 cm high). When you cut the young plants above the growth point, you can harvest them up to three times.

Tip: Also suitable as a babyleaf (sowing period: May-August).
